Another Successful Year!

We take great pride in dedicating a day that embraces the many different Irish foodservice outlets across the country. National Burger Day is the time of year where we acknowledge and give praise to the countless dynamic Burger Builds that Irish Food Sectors have to offer. At Kepak we are extremely passionate about quality burgers – which is why National Burger Day is so important to us.

Everyone’s Talking About National Burger Day

Over 450 foodservice operators across the country participated in this year’s campaign, throwing themselves deep into the burger buzz. Food sectors exhibited their most prized offerings in a bid to earn the prestigious title of Ireland’s Best Burger.

This year’s campaign witnessed a surge in exposure and publicity through the execution of our National Radio & PR campaign. This was clearly exemplified through the increase in footfall and sales on National Burger Day. We also saw an increase in consumer participation this year with over 22,500 votes being cast. Our social media engagement acquired a combined reach of 750,000 along with #NationalBurgerDay trending on Twitter throughout National Burger Day 12th August 2021.

Simon Communities of Ireland

At Kepak, it is immensely important for us to ensure we are giving back. In 2020, we donated 14,000 meals to our chosen charity, Simon Communities of Ireland. This year we wanted to exceed that number – with 1 meal donated for every burger purchased and shared online using the hashtag #NationalBurgerDay

We are proud to say that we exceeded our record and will be donating a staggering 16,000 meals to Simon Communities of Ireland! During our campaign, we also donated over 250 burgers & buns to Mid-West Simon who hosted a BBQ on site for their clients.

The Award Goes To…

This year’s National Burger Day saw 20 category winners along with the overall winner of Best Burger in Ireland – Flipside in Sligo! Flipside have been busy speaking with various media outlets across the country since their win, along with our 20 category winners gaining exposure through The Irish Times, Joe.ie and many other publications.
